 CTET is a test that candidates take to be considered for teaching positions. The CTET test is administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test is open to those who want to work as teachers. The CTET exam will be divided into two stages: primary and secondary. Applicants must teach a class from the first to the fifth grade during the primary stage. Candidates for secondary school must teach classrooms ranging from sixth to eighth grades. As a result, applicants can apply for either the primary or secondary level examinations, depending on their preferences.


A recruitment notice for teaching openings was issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The central board decided to hold an admission test to narrow down the contenders.


ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility for Primary Stages (1-5 classes)

• Candidates must have at least a 50% grade in 10+2 and Diploma.

• Applicants from the reserved group should have a 45 percent score.

• CTET exam is also open to students in their last year of D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed.

Eligibility for Secondary Stage (6-10 classes)

• Applicants must have a 50 percent graduation rate in a degree program or its equivalent.

• Candidates in the reserved category must have a minimum score of 45 percent.

SYLLABUS

CTET exam consists of two papers – Paper 1 & Paper 2. The question paper shall be Bilingual i.e., Hindi and English (since it’s a National level exam)

The CTET exam is divided into two stages: elementary and primary school. Furthermore, the CTET exam is held twice a year, for paper I and paper II. According to the CBSE CTET, the CTET Paper - I is for candidates who want to teach grades I through V. CTET Paper - II is for candidates who want to be teachers in grades VI through VIII.

PAPER 1:

* Paper I of the CBSE Teachers Eligibility Test is divided into five components.

* There are 150 questions in the National TET Exam.

* The Central Teachers Entrance Exam has a total of 150 points.

PAPER 2:

* There are five sections to the CBSE Teachers Eligibility Test.

* There are 150 questions on the National TET Exam, and each question is worth one mark.
